Description

I am having an issue with ties related to how they are controlled.

When tying a vehicle to a trailer, a bed on a truck, etc., sometimes not all the ties that are in range of the load or vehicle being tied down are used. This is fine, but if the load shifts to the point where it is now in range of the previously "unreachable" ties, when you press "O" to release the ties, the one that is now in range attaches to the vehicle, so it becomes impossible to release a vehicle or a load because the ties are alternating their actions each time the control button is pressed.

I don't remember experiencing this in earlier versions of RoR, so I'm not sure when exactly it changed.

I thought that was what ctrl + o and ctrl + l was for?

bkcockota, are you asking or is it a rethoric question?.

I have never heard about ctrl + O. I thought CTRL + L was a second hook point (more or less).

Lifter and Me also request this thingy on forums, but we didn't create a ticket here.

Hmm, maybe I'm wrong, I haven't really looked at or used ties or hooks or at all recently, so it is quite possible I'm wrong although I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to make tiegroups just by re-purposing the hookgroups code if they don't exist. Maybe you should ask Tdev about it as he did the hookgroups stuff...

So, how is it going? This bug is really pissing everyone off. Well at least those of us who want to use vehicles that have some kind of functionality apart from driving and drifting around.

It's a minor bug causing a major problem....... Shouldn't take long time to fix
