Description

For some reason, LODs don't work all the time with objects. For instance, note the screenshot below:

For some odd reason, despite the fact that all pictured objects are the same objects, a large number of them refuse to display LODs.

Attached is the offending terrain...

I tested it reasonably thoroughly- the LODs only work up to the 48th time an object is used in a terrain. After the 48th time the object is referenced in a terrain file, all further references to that object do not have LOD effects.

we need to redo the LOD system completely, closing all old tickets
